Pumpkins and Apples!

Our first graders had an amazing time studying pumpkins and apples! They learned about each of their life cycles and experimented with both fruits! For pumpkins, we did a sink or float experiment, in which we talked about the concept of a "hypothesis." We also practiced estimation and counting by 2's, 5's, and 10's! For apples, we did a taste test for different types and forms of apples. We practiced hypothesizing and analyzing data.
