Soil and Worms?!

What an exciting day we had today in First Grade! Throughout our unit of Plants, we have talked about all of the natural resources that plants (and animals/humans) need to survive. This morning, we read a fiction book all about worms! We learned so many interesting facts about the slimy and wiggly creatures. One of the most interesting facts that we talked about today was the fact that plants need worms to help them thrive. Your child would LOVE it if you would ask them why worms are so important to the soil for plants.
